Release notes: 20241010_12283546

DataOT has made improvements to streamline SEO and simplify migration. We’ve adopted a cleaner, trailing slash-less URL format for better consistency with search engines, and removed the automatic assumption of index files like index.php or index.asp. This change helps avoid canonical URL issues and makes our built-in redirects more effective, especially for sites migrating from older formats. It's all part of making DataOT even more powerful and easy to use!
Change
Change: General: DataOT will adopt a trailing slash-less URL format for consistency with SEO and search engine indexing.
Change: General: DataOT no longer automatically assumes index.php, index.asp, etc., should render the index automatically. This was a convenience factor for migration but can cause canonical URL issues. It is only useful for older sites migrating that used filenames for indexes instead of slugs. Built-in DataOT redirects are more effective for migrated older sites if they have this old format.
